Another day, another problem. The permissions on the Lurker's Guide
home directory were reset late yesterday and nobody could access it.
I've tracked down the runaway script that caused that problem
and it shouldn't happen again. Sorry for the additional downtime --
it's been a heck of a week so far!

www.midwinter.com's SCSI controller died and corrupted not only the
disk containing the Guide, but also a critical backup tape. Luckily
one of the mirror sites was able to supply a recent copy of
